Our 30th Annual Horticultural & Craft Show is Coming!
Folks, just a quick reminder that our annual Horticultural & Craft Show returns this August. Keep an eye on the poster for all the details.
This year marks a fantastic milestone as the show celebrates its 30th year, which is quite an achievement for a community event run entirely through the enthusiasm and support of local people.
The show has always been about bringing people together, sharing what we’ve grown, made, baked, created and nurtured. Whether you’ve got prize-winning vegetables, a handful of flowers from the garden, a homemade cake, or simply fancy having a go, there is a class for everyone.
One thing we always like to remind people is that you don’t need to be an expert to enter. Nature does most of the hard work. The show is open to all abilities, from first-time exhibitors to seasoned veterans. In fact, some of the biggest smiles on show day come from people who entered “just for a laugh” and ended up taking home a rosette.
The only way the show continues to thrive is through your support. Every entry, every visitor and every volunteer helps keep this wonderful local tradition alive for future generations.
As soon as the schedule is published, have a look through the classes and start thinking about what you might enter. August will soon be here, and now is the perfect time to start planning those flowers, vegetables, preserves, crafts and bakes.
We look forward to seeing plenty of familiar faces, and hopefully a few new ones too.
Let’s make our 30th year the biggest and best yet!
